1. EBMX Motors
Important Safety Considerations
1.1 Not Intended For Road Use: EBMX Motors are NOT designed for use on public roads or crowded areas. These motors are strictly meant for off-road use and controlled environments only.
1.2 Experienced Riders Only: These high-performance motors are recommended for experienced riders who possess the necessary skills and expertise to handle powerful machines. Novice riders are strongly advised against using our motors.
1.3 Use With Caution: The enhanced speed and power of our controllers and motors require extreme care and attentiveness. Always exercise caution and be aware of your surroundings when operating our products.
1.4 Upgrade Safety Equipment: It is crucial to ensure that your bike is equipped with upgraded brakes and other safety features capable of handling the increased speed and power provided by our controllers and motors. Using the motor with stock brakes or inadequate safety measures may result in accidents and severe injuries.
1.5 Adhere To Local Laws: Familiarize yourself with local regulations and laws pertaining to off-road vehicle usage in your area. Always ride within designated areas and private tracks that allow for safe operation.
1.6 Keep Away From Children: Our controllers and motors are not toys, and they must be kept out of reach of children. Never allow minors or inexperienced individuals to operate these controllers and motors.
1.7 Ride Responsibly: Ensure that you are in a sound state of mind and not under the influence of any substances that could impair your judgment before operating the controller and/or motor. By purchasing and using EBMX Controller and Motor products, you acknowledge and understand the inherent risks associated with high-speed off-road use. EBMX shall not be liable for any injuries, accidents, damages, or losses incurred as a result of improper usage, negligence, or failure to adhere to this disclaimer. 2. High Powered Controller Kits
2.1 Buying this product from ShockPowersports.com you are acknowledging that these high powered controller kits are intended for off road riding using on/off throttle, not continuous throttle applications.
2.2 You also agree to remove your Brake Sensor Wires if you are performing your own installation. Failure to do so could result in Braking Action creating a Throttle input in extreme cases of water intrusion to the Controller Wiring Harness. To further prevent Water Intrusion issues, mount the controller upside down and use Dielectric Grease on the Harness connections, also avoid deep water and pressure washing your bike.
2.3 Modifying emotos with these controllers and tunes make them illegal to ride on the road. After installing an aftermarket controller and getting a high powered tune, you are running the risk of damaging your motor. Even with our motor temperature protection enabled, it is still possible to damage your motor if you push the motor outside of its limits. To ensure you do not cause damage to your motor, follow the advice below:
- Do not use wide open throttle for longer than 10-15 seconds.
- Do not do repeated full throttle runs.
- Do not consistently ride the bike in high power modes, only use the power mode you need at the time.
- Do not ride for long distances where you are on 3/4 or full throttle consistently for long periods of time. If you need to use your bike for long rides using consistent throttle then you will need to significantly reduce the power level of the tune to ensure you can ride for stained periods without damage. Just for comparison, the stock bike in Sport mode running at full throttle is running at 5-6kW, after you put on a BAC8000 and high powered battery you will be pushing up to 15kW (3 times the power of the stock bike) and it cannot be expected for this not to take a toll on the motor.
